PRIOR According to his father-in-law, Sadio Mane of Liverpool never dated his adolescent wife despite having an apparent traditional planned marriage.
Mane, 31, and Aissata Tamba, 18, were married in a discreet ceremony in Dakar’s Keur Massar, a few days before the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast began.
According to Aisha’s father, the couple didn’t date before getting hitched. Mane allegedly got to know Aisha when she was sixteen years old. Aisha’s father revealed his daughter is eighteen years old. Aisha posing before her Sunday wedding in Keur Massar
Following the little ceremony in Senegal, which was seen by close friends and family, the happy couple was captured on camera grinning.
It has come to light that the two met when Aisha was sixteen years old through Mane’s agent, who was friends with her dad, the construction boss.
Aisha’s father, Amadou Tamba, stated that the two were first introduced “more than two years ago,” although he added that, despite varying claims to the contrary, his daughter is currently 18 years old.
Although Mr. Tamba stated that the couple never dated before getting married, it is believed that the couple kept their relationship a secret before getting married.
“My wife and Aisha visited their (Mane’s) family one day, and this is where he met her for the first time,” he said to local Univers Info.
It’s likely that he saw a unique quality in her, and his parents were equally fond of her. They paid me a visit.
We had the customary discussions, came to consensus on all issues, and then we waited for this day to arrive.
“Aisha was still young, so they weren’t dating.”
Aisha’s parents apparently decided to wait until she became 18 before approving the marriage, with Mane paying for her expenses while she was still in school.
Mr Tamba, a constructor, added: “With the values and all that she heard about him, she accepted voluntarily. However, we also guided and urged her to freely form her own opinions as her parents. God acted in her best interest.
Additionally, family friends stated that Mane’s uncle, who served as a go-between for the two families in order to arrange a formal marriage proposal, is good friends with Aisha’s father.
After her father, Madou Tamba, the constructor, met with Sadio’s agent, Bacary Cisse, regarding a project, the couple was introduced.
In his hometown of Bambali, the former Bayern Munich player has contributed to several humanitarian construction projects, including a school, a health center, a post office, and most recently, a tiny football stadium.
He has also supplied laptops for the school, a 4G network for the entire town and £60 (70 euros) a month for every family in his old neighbourhood.
In pictures taken at the ceremony in Dakar, the couple—who are from the same region of Senegal—are shown smiling with friends and family.
In less than a day, photos from the wedding that were posted on Instagram garnered over 85,000 likes.
Aisha doesn’t seem to be on social media and seems to stay out of the spotlight, in contrast to her sports-star spouse.
After the wedding, Sadio expressed his happiness to the local media, saying he was overwhelmed with congratulations.
In all honesty, he remarked, “I am pleased that the president has congratulated me as much as, well, not just my teammates.”
“I’m glad everyone has wished me luck and congratulated me, so I’m happy and I hope everything works out.”
Mane also made light of comments surrounding his marriage to his 18-year-old bride when Senegal’s president Macky Sall received the national squad ahead of AFCON.
Sall began, “First of all, let me extend my sincere congratulations to Sadio Mane, our national Nianthi, on his recent marriage.
“I gave him a call to express our support and best wishes for a happy marriage.
“May God richly bless your family and your offspring. You now work at a different job than just scoring goals.
