Liverpool currently lacks a natural defensive midfielder in their squad. While Argentine international Mac Allister has mainly occupied the No.6 role under manager Jurgen Klopp this season and performed well, his natural inclination leans towards a more creative role further up the field. Consequently, Liverpool views Frendrup as a potential solution to enhance the depth and quality of their midfield options.
