Kevin Durant, along with Devin Booker and Chris Paul, has emerged as a top candidate in the Western Conference heading into his 12th NBA season and first with the Phoenix Suns.
While all three stars will meet the Clippers in the first round on Sunday, Kevin Durant will most likely be wearing his most recent sneaker, the Nike KD 16.Kevin Durant took to Instagram on Friday night to show the sneakerhead community the first images of three Nike KD 16 launches atop cactus, set against an appropriate Phoenix desert backdrop.
This sneaker, like the Nike KD 14, has textured multi-layer fabric on the vamp and heel, as well as a protective wraparound design. The shoe’s medial TPU mesh system has been updated with side vents that continue down to the toe cap, giving it a clean and streamlined appearance.
The shoe’s sole will most likely be equipped with Zoom Air technology to improve elasticity and comfort. The KD logo is on the tongue tag, and the Nike Swoosh is on the collar, same like on the Air Max 95 model.
The Nike KD 16 could make its NBA debut on Sunday, as is customary for footwear lines more than eight months after their introduction.
Enjoy these early looks at the Nike KD 16 while we wait to see which color Kevin Durant will wear. Other Nike footwear options include Jayson Tatum’s Jordan Tatum 1, which draws inspiration from the Air Jordan 12 and his 1960s Mustang.
