According to an exclusive report from Tutto Atalanta, Liverpool is now poised to make a substantial bid to secure Koopmeiners’ services. The club recognizes the 25-year-old’s versatility and believes that his physical and technical attributes would be valuable additions to the team. While Koopmeiners primarily operates as a defensive midfielder, he has also proven adept in the No. 8 and No. 10 positions.
Koopmeiners’ impressive performances in Serie A last season, contributing to 14 goals (10 goals and 4 assists) while playing primarily as a defensive midfielder, have further raised Liverpool’s interest. This season, Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has deployed Koopmeiners in an attacking midfield role, where he has already scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in 18 league starts.
