On Thursday evening, the NBA unveiled the starters for the 2024 All-Star Game, which will be held in Indiana next month.
Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns is in the middle of another tremendous season and has been selected to his 14th NBA All-Star Game.
Durant posted on X when the news broke, and it had over 25,000 likes in less than two hours.
Durant wrote: “Thank you to the fans, media, and, most importantly, my peers for voting me into my 14th all-star game. I can’t wait to lock in and hoop alongside some of the greatest players in Indianapolis history.”
Durant is presently averaging 29.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game, shooting 52.9% from the field and 45.5% from three in 37 games.
Despite being 35 years old, he is still one of the league’s top ten players and has performed at the MVP level.
Durant will be paid a bonus for making the All-Star Game, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
The Suns are the fifth seed in the Western Conference, with a 26-18 record through 44 games.
They are 8-2 in their previous ten games and now have a seven-game winning streak.
The Suns’ next game is on Friday evening against the Pacers in Indiana.
