Announcing the joyful news, Luis, 27, and Geraldine, 24, posted sweet snaps cradling the new tot

‘On our 7th anniversary, on April 25th, we decided it was time to watch our family grow. Just a month later, also a 25, this time May, we got the news we didn’t expect to hear so soon, our baby was already with us.

‘And today, January 25, on a day we already considered special, our little girl arrived.

‘God has blessed us with our daughter. Charlotte has arrived to fill us with laughter, love and unforgettable moments.

‘Now the 25th of every month belongs to her. Welcome my magical princess.’

The Liverpool winger also shared a cute picture of himself holding his youngest kid on one side while his wife gave her a cheek kiss. He was wearing a medical head cover at the time.

Not quite two months ago, Roma celebrated her second birthday, while the footballer’s father, Luis ‘Mane’ Diaz, was still being kept captive.

Only on November 9, 2018, at the Venezuelan border, in a transfer involving a Colombian priest, did his horrifying ordeal come to an end after 12 days.

After substituting in for the game in November 2023, Luis scored a late goal as Liverpool defeated Luton, continuing to play through the terrifying ordeal.

Not quite two months ago, Roma celebrated her second birthday, while the footballer’s father, Luis ‘Mane’ Diaz, was still being kept captive. On November 9 of last year, he was released in a handover involving a priest from Colombia near the Venezuelan border.

He returned to Colombia for international duty a few days after the victory, and upon his release, he experienced tearful emotions with his father.

In the match his father witnessed from the stands, he went on to score two goals for his country in a historic triumph over Brazil.

Armed men of the left-wing guerrilla group Ejercito de Liberation Nacional (ELN) kidnapped his father.

Before Luis Manuel was freed, the ELN, which the US government and the EU had designated as a terrorist organization, acknowledged being involved in the kidnapping.
