LeBron James expressed his gratitude to Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool manager abruptly announced his retirement from the Premier League side at the end of the season.
Lakers star James, who owns a minority stake in the team, took to X on Friday to join the millions of Liverpool fans who paid tribute to Klopp.

Klopp revealed that the idea occurred to him after a “super-difficult” 2022-23 season in which the Reds spent the entire of the season trailing the group at the top of the table before clawing their way back to fifth place.
However, he made it apparent that he would not be departing due to health issues.
‘I am fine,’ Klopp explained. ‘I’m as healthy as you can be for my age. Little bits and bobs, things like that, but nothing to worry about, so that’s all okay.
‘I informed the club back in November,’ he explained. ‘I’d like to explain that, while people may view my job from the outside, I’m on the touchline, in training sessions, and so on, but the majority of what I do is related to these things.
‘That implies a season has begun, and you are already planning for the next season.
‘As we sat there talking about potential signings, the next summer camp, and where we might travel, the thought came to me, “I am not sure I am here anymore,” which surprised me. I definitely started to think about it.
