THE REDS MARCH ON: Liverpool secured their spot in the 5th round of the FA Cup with a thrilling win over Norwich City today

The most emotional moment as Jürgen Klopp began his long and winding route to his Liverpool farewell was undoubtedly the singing of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. Klopp’s emotions were written all over his face as he sat in the dugout, staring on behind his baseball cap. Denying the tears was a determined effort, as he clenched his teeth.

This will undoubtedly be difficult for him and Liverpool, but it did help that their first opponents since Friday’s seismic announcement were Norwich City, managed by Klopp’s close friend David Wagner, who proved remarkably compliant and were easily swept aside despite their two goals.

Liverpool has advanced to the FA Cup’s last-16, where they will face another Championship club, either Southampton or Watford, in a draw that suggests they will take another step toward their unprecedented quadruple. That would be an excellent leaving gift from Klopp.
