Jurgen Klopp has allayed concerns that Alexis Mac Allister could be sidelined after limping off with a knee ιnjury in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday. After being rested for Sunday’s FA Cup win against Norwich City, the Argentine returned to the starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes as Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Luis Diaz restored Liverpool’s five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League.
After a collision with Chelsea substitute Cesare Casadei, Mac Allister limped off the field to receive treatment from Liverpool physio Chris Morgan in the final minutes.
However, Klopp had made all five changes and could not pull the Reds’ No.10, so Mac Allister carefully returned to help his team wrap up the win.

In his post-match press conference at Anfield, the Liverpool manager said Mac Allister should be fit to play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
“Now the next game is coming in four days and I have no idea who can play again because they looked quite knackered when I had a look in the dressing room!” Klopp added. “Back here, Macca [Alexis Mac Allister] kneeling, something like this. Nobody told me anything substantial yet. So everything’s fine. We need them all—not a sentence. Happy for them to perform as well as they did. Please recover and prepare for Arsenal’s next big game.
“No one told me Macca [Mac Allister] was knee-on-knee, nothing catastrophic. It’s fine—we need them all. Not a phrase, it’s how it is. That they all performed well makes me delighted. Arsenal’s next big game is coming soon. Recover and continue.”
