Al-Nassr’s qualification for the AFC Champions League quarterfinals has delighted Cristiano Ronaldo.
Luis Castro’s team defeated Al-Feiha 2-0 at home on Wednesday (February 21), with Otavio scoring in the seventh minute and Ronaldo adding a second four minutes later.
Following a 1-0 first-leg triumph against Al-Feiha a week ago, in which Ronaldo scored in the 81st minute, Al-Alami won 3-0 on aggregate to go to the continental competition’s last eight.
Ronaldo, who has now scored three goals in as many competitive games in 2024, praised his team’s performance and thanked fans for their support in getting them to the next round. He Tweeted:
“What a night!” We’ve advanced to the next step; thank you all for your support!”
His recent goal brings his season total to 27 goals and 11 assists in 28 appearances across competitions. It includes league-leading totals of 21 goals and nine assists in 19 Saudi Pro League games, with Castro’s team behind only Al-Hilal (56) after 20 matches.
