Kevin Durant is one of just a few sportsmen in history to sign a lifetime contract with Nike. With sixteen trademark shoes and several high-level seasons remaining in the tank, KD and Nike see no indications of slowing down their signature shoe series, which has been a go-to for hoopers for nearly two decades, and given that lifetime link, the KD line might carry on indefinitely.
Kevin Durant’s new signature shoes are normally released late in the NBA season, with KD wearing them throughout the playoffs. That being said, this first look at the Nike KD 17 signature shoe (released by @sharkicks1) is just on time, with an official debut expected in April 2024.
This first look at the KD 17 showcases a redesigned style influenced by several iconic footwear models from the 1990s. The Air Max Plus features an obvious lava lamp-inspired outer cage. The midsole design is very similar to the Air Talaria running shoe, but without the distinctive lines etched into the foam.
The Nike KD 17 will undoubtedly be available in a number of colorways later in 2024, but as previously noted, Durant will most likely debut the shoe on-foot this season. Stay tuned for future updates.
