Liverpool talents Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai are all good friends on the pitch… but it appears their competitive spirit has reached new heights since they started working in a donut shop.
The Reds three went to The Bagelry as part of a partnership with VistaPrint, where they were charged with demonstrating their sales abilities to unsuspecting fans.
The trio had donuts on the counter with their different squad numbers on them, and it was their responsibility to persuade spectators to choose their numbered donut.
Konate, Gravenberch, and Szoboszlai are creating a ‘work experience’ series that will highlight local small enterprises.
In a video circulating on social media, the three becomes quite competitive as they demonstrate their sales pitch.
Gravenberch is the first to make a pitch as the fan reaches the counter.
‘In your eyes, I see you liking this one,’ the midfielder says, pointing to his donut.
Konate immediately rejects the idea.
‘Listen, listen, listen,’ the French centre-back says.
‘You’re huge like me; you should eat like me! Konate persists.
Szoboszlai’s most compelling argument is that his number 8 is the only one that appears in two distinct donuts.
He goes on to say that his donut is the best of all.
The supporter eventually has to make a decision, and he chooses to support Konate, much to the annoyance of the two midfielders.
