Before fouling out in the Suns’ victory over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, Jusuf Nurkic collected 12 rebounds and held Nikola Jokic to only 6 points in the first half.
Jokic praised this defensive play, saying, “He can defend pretty well. He’s a huge guy that can switch between 1 and 5 in certain situations. Monster on the glass. He’s an excellent fit for them, and he’s enjoying his role.”

Aside from his defensive contributions, Jusuf Nurkic has been a dominant rebounder in the Suns’ recent games.
Nurkic has equaled Charles Barkley’s team record with 88 rebounds in five games.
This milestone included a new franchise record of 31 rebounds against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
