Diaz suffered a groin problem during Liverpool’s 4-3 FA Cup loss to Manchester United on Sunday. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp voiced concern about Diaz’s injury after the game, noting that he felt tightness in his groin and hoped it is not serious. Darwin, like Diaz, had a hamstring injury, while Cody Gakpo twisted his ankle.
Fortunately, Diaz’s condition does not appear to be deteriorating, and it is anticipated that he will remain healthy over the international break. Colombia, his national squad, has friendly matches planned in Europe. They will face Spain on Friday at West Ham United’s London Stadium, followed by Romania on Tuesday in Madrid.
Liverpool’s next game is against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Sunday, March 31st. The Reds are currently second in the Premier League table, with 64 points, level with league leaders Arsenal.
