The NBA world was stunned after Phoenix Suns player Devin Booker dropped a big game in a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Kevin Durant was among those left stunned by his teammate’s incredible effort.
In that game, Booker scored 52 points while making 67 percent of his field goals, 50 percent from beyond the arc, and 85 percent from the free throw line. He also had three rebounds and nine assists, leading the Suns to a 124-111 victory over the Pelicans.
Durant, the Suns’ starting forward, finished with 20 points and seven rebounds. Jusuf Nurkic also had a strong performance, recording a double-double of 19 points and 19 rebounds against a club that NOLA coach Willie Green labeled as having a soft mentality against Phoenix.
Booker, like his recent spectacular effort against the Pelicans, was in his bag the last time these two teams met. Last January, the Suns’ All-Star shooting guard scored 52 points against the Pelicans, who were headed by Zion Williamson. The Suns won that game, 123-109.

Durant met with reporters following the game and provided his thoughts on Booker’s impressive game. In two videos published by Duane Rankin on X:
The win helped Phoenix pull away from the eighth-seeded Sacramento Kings in the Western Conference. Currently, the Suns have 44 victories and 31 defeats.
With only a few games remaining in the regular season, the Suns will need Booker to produce on the offensive end of the floor. If he does, Phoenix should make a deep playoff run.
