New Orleans defeated the Golden State Warriors on Friday, securing a spot no lower than eighth in the rankings. The same is true for the Suns, with eighth place remaining to be decided between the Lakers, Kings, and Warriors.
Following the Denver Nuggets’ loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, a three-way tie at the top of the West gives Minnesota something to play for against Phoenix on Sunday. However, the Lakers also won, putting L.A. in a higher play-in game against New Orleans.
