The Kop, according to Football Insider, is presented with an opportunity to acquire a star player they have had their eyes on for a while. 
Liverpool has long been planning to add a left-footed center-back to their squad. It is highly speculated that they will pursue Sporting CP’s talented defender, Goncalo Inacio, in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The young Portuguese player has shown significant development in recent years and has garnered special interest from top clubs. Liverpool is determined to secure Inacio’s signature this summer.
According to Football Insider, they may not need to meet the player’s £51 million release clause to reach an agreement. Instead, Sporting CP is reportedly seeking around £40 million for the transfer.
However, Liverpool is not the only club interested in acquiring Inacio. Apart from them, Manchester United is also planning to approach the young Portuguese star. United is looking to reinforce their defensive options, especially with the potential departures of Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans.
