‘It’s just basketball. Not even playoffs, it’s just hoop’ – Kevin Durant Responds to Anthony Edwards’ Wild Trash Talk

An awesome intergenerational moment occurred during the Timberwolves-Suns game when Anthony Edwards began lecturing and trash talking his childhood hero Kevin Durant.

After leading the Wolves to a 1-0 series lead with a 120-95 victory, Edwards stated that his moment on the floor with KD was “probably one of the best feelings ever in my whole life, for sure.”

The viral scene of Ant chirping at Durant occurred in the third quarter, when he outscored KD 18-10.

Durant was asked about the discussion after the game.

“It’s only basketball. “Not even playoffs, it’s just hoop,” Durant remarked. “You get heated, you make shots, even tough shots, and you’ll feel good about yourself. It is up to me to keep coming back and giving him a stern look.”

KD said, “He’s got it going.” He made some tough choices. You just have to accept it and improve for the next game.”

Edwards, 22, concluded the game with 33 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and two steals, while Durant, 35, scored 31 points and seven rebounds.

But Edwards isn’t getting ahead of himself quite yet.

“It’s going to be hard to beat these guys,” Edwards remarked. “It’s only one game. “They’ll be ready the next time we play them.”

Despite Durant’s strong performance, his running partner Devin Booker only scored 18 points and had little impact on the game.

Durant believes Booker will “have a great Game 2”.

Booker admits things did not go his way on Saturday.

“We all just need to adjust to the playoff physicality,” Booker went on to say. “They’re being quite tough with me, and then I got three early fouls and went to the bench. Then I just tried to find a rhythm from there.”

If Phoenix is to tie the series, Booker will undoubtedly need to step up against a hot Minnesota team.
