Alisson – 7:
Alisson had a quiet afternoon and couldn’t do anything about the equalizer. However, his handling and distribution were reliable, and he made a few routine saves along with an excellent one in stoppage time. It’s great to see him back in the team.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8 (Man of the Match)
Alexander-Arnold proved any doubts about his return to the team wrong. He was highly impressive, displaying incredible technique, and his free-kick gave Liverpool the lead. He drove the team forward, growing as a leader, and was the best player on the pitch.
Jarell Quansah – 7:Quansah did a reliable job after coming in for Ibrahima Konate. While the defense looked vulnerable at times, he used the ball well and didn’t seem out of place.
Virgil van Dijk – 8:Van Dijk hasn’t been at his best recently, but he performed well in this match. Physically strong, he saw a lot of the ball as Fulham sat deep. He was a bit lethargic around the hosts’ equalizer but impressed after the break.
Andy Robertson – 7:Robertson was steady defensively but didn’t offer much attacking threat. He had one lapse allowing an opponent into a dangerous area but was generally reliable and experienced.
Wataru Endo – 6:Endo seemed fatigued during the match, occasionally being caught in possession. However, he was generally neat and tidy, and his performance improved as the game progressed.
Harvey Elliott – 6:Elliott didn’t impress as much as he has off the bench this season. He had a disappointing free-kick and a poor finish but showed initiative in midfield by looking to make progressive plays.
Ryan Gravenberch – 7:Gravenberch has been a divisive figure in his debut season, and his first-half performance left something to be desired. However, he scored a great goal to give Liverpool a 2-1 lead. Hopefully, this marks the start of an influential end to the season for him.
Luis Diaz – 6:Diaz started in an unusual right-sided role and was the most dangerous attacker early on. However, his influence waned as the match progressed, and he lacked a cutting edge.
Cody Gakpo – 7:Gakpo has faced criticism, but this match showed promise from him. He had a strong shot saved and worked hard off the ball, providing an assist for Diogo Jota’s goal.
Diogo Jota – 7:Jota started his first game in a while and was initially rusty. However, he won the free-kick that led to Alexander-Arnold’s goal and scored a decent finish to make it 3-1. His presence was missed throughout the season.
Substitutes:The substitutes, including Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Joe Gomez, all had relatively quiet appearances, with no significant impact on the match.
Jurgen Klopp – 8:Klopp’s decision to make five changes raised eyebrows, but it proved to be the right move. While the performance wasn’t perfect, it was a step in the right direction, and this must-win match showcased his managerial abilities.
