Afrobeats-themed special apparel collection by JBL and Vivendii is set to debut. The brilliant, eye-catching hues of JBL are combined with Vivendii’s characteristic gradient, tie-dye-inspired style in their Afrobeats Capsule Collection. It is influenced by the classic plastic buckets and bowls from Nigeria as well as the recognizable orange color of JBL.
The collection includes a striped football jersey inspired by Virgil van Dijk and the rising trend of personalized jerseys, along with a t-shirt, tracksuit, jacket, and rucksack. Unique iterations of some of JBL’s best-selling items, like the JBL PartyBox 310 and JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi, come in vibrant hues that go well with the styles of the clothing line.
Why is the reduction in value so large? “There is no separation between music and fashion.” It was a tҺrilling experience for us to learn about Afrobeats’ music and fashion alongside our spokesperson and Afrobeats enthusiast, Virgil van Dijk, because it gives young people a platform to freely express themselves. Through their efforts, the Vivendii team elevates the voices of subgenres and cultures and promotes self-expression. This aligns well with JBL’s values, which makes this relationship a great fit. HARMAN’s Vice President of Integrated Marketing for EMEA is Robert-Jan van Dormael.
“It’s all about how people express themselves,” Jimmy Ayeni of Vivendii said. “This partnership with JBL is no different from the soundtracks we’ve created for every collection we’ve designed.” We attempt to incorporate our musical expressions into style.
In this short video, Van Dijk is joined in exploring the world of Afrobeats by Jimmy Ayeni and Ola Badiru, the creators of Vivendii, as well as Dutch vocalist Amartey and Nigerian artist Deto Black, who aid Virgil in delving deeper into the genre.
