Liverpool stars look cooling as they participate in a photo shoot to announce the arrival of their new kit for the 2024/25 season

Liverpool FC has officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2024/25 season.

The outfit, which is scheduled to be worn for Jurgen Klopp’s final home game of the season on May 19 against Wolves, will be the Reds’ debut under new boss Arne Slot next season.

The uniform is reported to be influenced by the 1984 European Cup-winning design (seen below). Liverpool FC writes that “The retro kit design, remixed for the modern game, features a chrome yellow pattern of the club’s YNWA motto, etched into the fabric of the shirt.”

“The jersey features a distinctive collar with traditional yellow and red stitching, evoking the legendary collar worn by the 1984 team. Both the top and shorts include yellow and white side panels.”

On the back of the jersey, the 97 insignia enveloped in eternal flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck in honor of those who were illegally killed as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.

The new kit is available for pre-order on LFC’s official web store, at official LFC stores (UK and internationally), and through the LFC Retail App, with delivery beginning on launch day, May 16.

Captain Virgil van Dijk comments on the new kit: “I appreciate the intricacy. Having You’ll Never Walk Alone on it is something special; it represents the club’s culture and is proudly worn on the kit.
