Liverpool is reportedly planning to replace Mohamed Salah with Barcelona’s Raphinha, according to TBR Football. There are rumors that Salah may leave Liverpool in the summer of 2024, potentially for a move to Saudi Arabia, which would not only bring a significant transfer fee for Liverpool but also offer Salah a high salary, possibly the highest in the league.
Liverpool is already taking steps to find a replacement for Salah, with Raphinha from Barcelona being a target. Raphinha has had an impressive season, making 35 appearances for Barcelona and directly contributing to 21 goals (9 goals and 12 assists). Barcelona, having several good options on the wing under coach Xavi, is willing to sell the Brazilian player in order to generate funds to strengthen other positions. Barcelona is reportedly seeking £50 million for Raphinha.
In addition to Liverpool, other clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle have shown interest in Raphinha, who has already demonstrated his value in the Premier League during his time at Leeds United and was regarded as one of the top wingers in English football.
If Barcelona decides to part ways with the Brazilian player, it would provide them with more opportunities to develop Lamine Yamal, a highly-rated player with significant potential. As for Raphinha, he could become a key player for Liverpool if he agrees to return to England.
