Only a few yards separate Steven Gerrard’s £18 million Los Angeles mansion from Elvis Presley’s former residence. The former captain of Liverpool, Gerrard, recently relocated to Los Angeles along with his three kids and wife.
His new house is a 12,000 square foot, six-bedroom estate located in a gated enclave near Beverly Hills. The £18 million mansion features a swimming pool, waterfall, and theater.
This is in sharp contrast to Gerrard’s childhood home on Liverpool’s Bluebell Estate, which cost £77,000. Though he accepted a lower salary when he joined LA Galaxy, Gerrard is able to pay the £35,000 per month rent on the new home.
Famous people who have lived in the neighborhood in the past include Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.
Although house hunting was “really hard,” according to Gerrard’s wife, they managed to “walk in” on a house they love.
After 17 years and more than 500 games, Gerrard departed Liverpool, but he claims he will stay in touch and watch every match.
