The Indiana Pacers bungled it again. And the Boston Celtics are returning to the NBA Finals for the second time in three years.
Derrick White’s three-pointer with 45 seconds left gave the Celtics a 105-102 lead that they would not give up in the final moments, as the Pacers wasted another fourth-quarter lead and failed to score in the final three minutes and 33 seconds on Monday night.
That sealed the sweep for Boston, and Celtics fans and experts alike were impressed by their late-game execution.
