Jaylen Brown is the 2024 NBA Finals MVP.
The Celtics’ co-star to Jayson Tatum was Boston’s best player in the series, scoring 21 points in Game 5 to help the team win 106-88.
Tatum was out to begin the series, and Brown filled the void offensively, combining for 43 points in Games 1 and 3. Game 3 was his greatest performance of the series, scoring 30 points as the Celtics established a dominating 3-0 lead.
Brown scored only 10 points in Game 4 as the Mavericks dominated Boston, but he rebounded Monday night in Game 5 to seal the series at TD Garden.
Brown averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game across the series. He scored an average of 23.0 points in 70 regular-season games.
Brown, a three-time All-Star, just completed his eighth season with the Celtics after being drafted third overall in 2016.
