Arne Slot took over as manager of Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp quit after nine years. He is now leading the team into a new era.
But the Reds haven’t made any deals yet this summer. With the new Premier League season starting in four weeks, business is sure to pick up. A lot of people have already left. Thiago Alcantara retired, and Joel Matip and Adrian quit after their contracts were up.
Liverpool also sent defender Calvin Ramsay on loan to Wigan. Also, a lot of big names are coming to the end of their contracts in the next year. Anyway, enough with the background talk. Here is the latest transfer news from Anfield.
Trent thinks about moving to Real Madrid
A new story from The Independent says that Trent Alexander-Arnold is going to “see how things go” at Liverpool before deciding what to do with his future. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Alexander-Arnold is in the last year of his Liverpool contract, and it has been said that his strong friendship with Jude Bellingham could help convince the right back to move to Real Madrid.
He isn’t the only important player whose deal at Anfield ends next summer. Liverpool also needs to decide what to do with star player Mohamed Salah and club captain Virgil van Dijk.

The newest Van Dijk
As Slot takes over as manager, Di Marzio says Van Dijk is not going to leave Liverpool this season.
“I don’t think van Dijk will leave this summer,” he told wettbasis.com. As things change after Jurgen Klopp’s time as manager, I believe Virgil will be very important in passing on Liverpool’s ideas to the new coach. I don’t think they will let him go this summer.
“At the end of this season we’ll see if he will go or not.”He probably won’t play for another Premier League team. I believe that deals can only come from Saudi Arabia since they want him as a player. They will come with an offer to pay him, but I don’t know when. We’ll see if the player wants to try this or stay in Europe and compete for titles and the Champions League.

Liverpool is being told to take over an Arsenal move
Dietmar Hamann, a former defender for Liverpool, has told the Reds to try to sign Italy star Riccardo Calafiori before Arsenal does.
Arsenal has been linked with a move for the Bologna back who was great at Euro 2024, but Hamann thinks he would be a great fit for Liverpool. “Riccardo Calafiori is a very good player and is so comfortable on the ball, it’s no surprise that when he missed Italy’s game against Switzerland, they put in a terrible performance,” Top Offshore Casinos told him.
“They were terrible from beginning to end. That came after he set up the equalizer against Croatia at the last minute. My guess is that Virgil van Dijk said he wants to stay and be with Arne Slot, who is also from Norway. He wants to help Slot get Liverpool back to winning ways. Ibrahima Konate is a great defender, but he gets hurt too often. If you knew how much Calafiori cost, he would be a great player.
