Arsenal winger Emile Smith Rowe recently made a young fan’s day by visiting her after she displayed a sign at Arsenal’s match against Leicester earlier this month.
Nine-year-old Isabelle Clark had crafted a sign for her ‘favorite player,’ which read, “Smith Rowe is the best number 10 after me! Can I have your shirt please?”
Upon seeing the sign on social media, Smith Rowe contacted Isabelle’s mother, Kelly Clark, and arranged a visit to personally deliver a signed shirt. Kelly Clark recounted, “Isabelle initially thought the shirt would be delivered by mail, so she was eagerly awaiting the postman. When Emile arrived, I told her the postman was at the door, and she rushed out. She was stunned, went straight in for a hug, and was completely speechless.”
She continued, “Emile was incredibly kind and genuine. He asked about Isabelle’s football, signed a few items for her and her brother, and stayed for over an hour.”
Isabelle exclaimed, “It was the best day of my life!”
Smith Rowe’s Arsenal team has had a strong start to the Premier League season, winning all three of their opening games. Fans are pleased with the team’s performance, especially given their relatively easy start to the season.
Arsenal’s next match is at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday against Fulham.
