Ahead of the Champions League Final this weekend, Mo Salah has showcased the new laceless adidas X 18+ football boots, which will be a key feature for the Three Stripes at the 2018 World Cup.
Salah has been training in a blacked-out version of the X 18+ for much of the season, but adidas is now preparing to officially launch the X series, which will be featured prominently as the brand gears up for the tournament in Russia next month. As the Champions League Final approaches, Salah will be seen alongside other prominent Real Madrid players sporting the X 18+ on Saturday night.
The X 18+ range will debut with the laceless design, complemented by a laced 18.1 model, completing the laceless options for adidas’ top-tier boots. The X 18+ maintains a streamlined look reminiscent of the F50 adizero, which is a nod to its design heritage.
Although the new boots have been previewed, adidas will keep further details under wraps until the official launch later this week. This release comes at a fitting time, as Salah recently donated his previous pair of boots to the British Museum’s renowned Egyptian collection.
