Dutch talent Cody Gakpo has given a sneak peek of PUMA’s upcoming Future boots during recent training sessions. The PSV Eindhoven striker was spotted wearing the sleek, blacked-out version of the next-generation Future design as he prepared with the Under-21s for their upcoming fixtures.
As the new year approaches, football brands are beginning to unveil their latest innovations, and PUMA is no exception. Their latest offering, an updated version of the Future silo, is set to replace the current Future 4.1. This move aligns with the brand’s push towards EURO 2020, following adidas’s reveal of the Predator 20.
Gakpo’s new boots showcase significant enhancements over the previous model. The updated NetFit technology, which allows for customizable lacing techniques, has been refined to offer a cleaner look and improved performance. The boot’s front also features a smoother finish, contributing to a more streamlined design that caters to speed-focused play.
While PUMA has yet to announce an official release date, the boots are expected to debut in the near future, likely not before the end of the year, considering the current generation was only launched in June.
