Liverpool have secured a transfer agreement for Giorgi Mamardashvili, pending work permit and international clearance. The Valencia goalkeeper is set to make his move to Anfield before the start of the 2025-26 season.
The deal includes Mamardashvili remaining with Valencia for the rest of the current season before joining Liverpool next summer.
This transfer follows Mamardashvili’s impressive performance at Euro 2024 with Georgia, where they progressed to the Round of 16. His 21 saves during the group stage were the most by any goalkeeper in the tournament’s history.
The 23-year-old keeper, who has earned 21 international caps, will spend another season with Valencia, where he has been a key player since his arrival from Dinamo Tbilisi in 2021.
So far, Mamardashvili has made 102 appearances for Valencia, recording 31 clean sheets across all competitions. He has featured in both of their games this season against Barcelona and Celta Vigo.
