Iris’ friends have revealed that being a Wag was never really her thing, and now, it seems the whirlwind romance between England footballer Trent Alexander-Arnold and model Iris Law has come to an end.
The two first met during a Guess Jeans photoshoot just five months ago, and their connection was immediate. However, according to Iris’ friends, they’ve decided to part ways.
They shared: “Trent and Iris had a great summer together and things were going well. But with Trent’s busy football schedule and Iris’s international work commitments, their lives are getting more hectic. They enjoyed a holiday with his family in July and got along really well. Despite not dating anymore, they will remain friends. Iris was very into him and cherished their time together, but her focus is on her career. The role of a Wag wasn’t really suited to her, especially with Trent based up North and Iris in London. They’ve decided to cool things off and just stay friends. There are no hard feelings, and Iris only has positive things to say about Trent.”
I must admit, I didn’t anticipate this breakup.
We first reported on their relationship in May, when friends mentioned how Trent and Iris connected via Instagram after their Guess Jeans shoot. Pictures of them together in the Caribbean in July suggested a perfect match. They managed to keep their relationship low-key, avoiding the typical celebrity spotlight, which was refreshing.
However, balancing a romance with someone in the Premier League was always going to be challenging, especially with the demands of traveling between the M40 and M6.
