Egyptian winger Mo Salah is soaking up the sun and enjoying a post-World Cup getaway on a jet ski. The 26-year-old zipped through the sparkling waters after Egypt’s early exit from the tournament in Russia. While he savored coconuts on a picturesque beach, his teammates were hard at work preparing for their pre-season trip to Blackburn.
Salah shared a snapshot of his jet ski adventure on Twitter, simply captioned with wave emojis. Despite still recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in the Champions League final against Sergio Ramos, he looks refreshed and ready to hit the ground running for the new season.
Alongside his jet ski thrills, Salah also indulged in some paddleboarding at the beach. He’s set to reunite with his teammates before the month’s end to kick off preparations for the 2018-19 season. After an outstanding debut year at Anfield, he secured a £200,000-a-week contract extension, positioning Liverpool as serious contenders against Manchester City for the title.
