Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahim Konate, and Ryan Gravenberch decided to fight for the best doughnut and bagel at The Bagelry, a small café in Liverpool.
You may recall the players’ surprise visit to the local store in December, when they demonstrated their support for local small businesses as part of a new VistaPrint campaign.
In the most recent video, the contestants attempt to determine which of their delectable delights will be most popular among city dwellers by handing out free doughnuts to passerby.
Liverpool FC and VistaPrint are working together to support local small companies through work experience and the ‘Small Business of The Match’ initiative. This tournament provides small company owners in the UK with visibility through pitch-side advertising during home games, as well as an amazing matchday experience at Anfield.
VistaPrint has contributed £3,000 as part of its newest fundraising campaign to aid The Bagelry in purchasing new culinary equipment.
The video shows three Reds players discussing their culinary skills. Gravenberch says, “I was living alone in Germany last year and prepared my own meals.”
The start of the competition reignites the contestants’ competitive spirit. “They are going to purchase it if it looks good,” Szoboszlai claims. “With my heart, I created it,” Konate continues.
Finally, Konate wins the competition for the most aesthetically beautiful treat, earning the most applause from onlookers thanks to the energetic sales presentations made by all three contestants.
“The Konate” includes French fries, a vegan cinnamon bagel, and Café de Paris butter.
Regarding the appearance’s influence on The Bagelry, co-owner Sam Stonehouse stated, “Since the players visited the store, the response from patrons has been tremendous. Individuals are still talking about how enjoyable and beneficial the trip was.
