Al Hilal, a Saudi Pro League club, wants to sign Mohamed Salah ahead of the Club World Cup, talkSPORT knows.
‘The Egyptian King’ instilled fear in Liverpool fans during what should have been a celebratory weekend as the Reds climbed to the top of the Premier League table.

After scoring the winning goal in Arne Slot’s side’s 2-1 victory over Brighton, he posted a mysterious message on Instagram, leading some Liverpool fans to believe he was hinting at an impending departure from Anfield.
Now, talkSPORT’s Saudi football correspondent Ben Jacobs has stated that an interested party is around Salah, and they want him to sign before the FIFA Club World Cup next summer.
Jacobs told White and Jordan on Monday that “2025 is the target.” Al Hilal is the club… except for the Club World Cup.”
Salah, whose current contract with Liverpool expires in June, has previously attracted Saudi interest.
Liverpool rejected Al Ittihad’s £150 million deal for the winger in September 2023.
Al Hilal was likewise enthusiastic at the time.
Fast forward seven months, and Jacobs claims Al Hilal has not given up their chase.

“All signs are Saudi are going to come back in and if Salah is a free agent then naturally he can get a bigger sign-on fee,” according to him.
“Liverpool wants him to renew, while Saudi Arabia is pushing hard. [Sporting Director of the Saudi Pro League]. Michael Emenalo, who has an excellent relationship with Mo Salah, is leading the charge.
“One of those territories is Egypt, therefore if Salah joins, there will be a return on investment since Egypt will have particular country rights.
“And with Salah present, you would expect the Saudi Pro League to be able to get a relatively profitable deal.
“So Salah to Saudi remains on the cards and Al Hilal is the most likely destination with the Club World Cup in mind.”

Should Salah compete in the Club World Cup, he will face Lionel Messi.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner will fight against David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
Salah will also play with Neymar and ex-Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic at Al Hilal, as a lot of famous names have made the transition since Cristiano Ronaldo’s surprise move to Al Nassr in 2022.
The Egyptian has played for Liverpool since 2017, when he joined from Roma for an initial sum of £36.5 million, which could grow to £43 million.
He won the Club World Cup with Liverpool in 2020, as well as the Champions League and Premier League, among other accolades.
The former Chelsea forward has made 364 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 220 goals and assisting 96 times, cementing his place as an Anfield icon.
Salah scored the winning goal for Liverpool on Saturday, as the Reds rallied after Brighton’s Ferdi Kadioglu scored first.
