It would not be surprising if Liverpool’s network of Dutch talent scouts expands now that a Dutch coach is in control.
To be fair, the Reds already have two exceptional Dutch players: Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch. Xavi Simons is a Dutch star who requires no introduction. His two seasons with PSV Eindhoven and RB Leipzig speak for themselves, and Liverpool and other top European teams have shown interest in signing him.
The 21-year-old, who is presently under contract with PSG, is spending the current season on loan at RB Leipzig. According to Bild journalist Yvonne Gabriel, the £67.4 million star preferred to stay with the Bundesliga squad despite the Merseysiders’ interest.Three reasons why Simons is a key player for Liverpool.
Christiane Falk, a Bundesliga expert, described Simons, Florian Wirtz, and Jamal Musiala as a “jewel.” According to recent reports, he verified Liverpool’s interest in the player and expressed it.
“Unlike Wirtz, he is more likely to attend the Premier League. Musiala may be joined by three more transfer gems on the market next year.
Furthermore, Italian writer Fabrizio Romano of The Daily Briefing predicts that Xavi Simons will leave PSG in the summer of 2025. Where will PSG’s Xavi Simons play next season? “Xavi has a good chance of leaving PSG on a permanent transfer in 2025, but no agreement has been made with Liverpool or any other club yet.”
They can try to recruit Xavi Simons eventually, despite Romano’s statement that there is no deal with Liverpool because he may leave the French champions. Perhaps Arne Slot can persuade the orange star that Anfield is the only place he should visit next. Image
Simons would fit right in with Slot’s configuration. He may challenge or replace Dominik Szoboszlai at number 10. The Hungarian plays in a unique manner, and Liverpool would benefit from having a Dutchman who scores more goals.
How Liverpool approaches pursuing the 21-year-old remains to be seen. Xavi Simons will have to make a decision, and ideally he will choose Liverpool to be his next club.
