Mohamed Salah exposes his ‘disappointment’ at not receiving any offers to stay at Liverpool and is’more OUT than IN’ in massive bombshell – with his contract set to expire at the end of the season

Salah’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he claims ‘there is no club like’ Liverpool.

But, speaking to a small group of reporters following Sunday’s triumph at Southampton, Salah said: ‘We are almost in December, and I haven’t received any proposals to stay at the club yet. I am probably more outside than within.

‘You are aware that I have been a member of the club for several years. There is no club like this. However, in the end, it is beyond my control. As previously stated, it is December, and I have yet to receive any information about my future.

‘I adore the fans. The fans adore me. Finally, it is not in my or the fans’ control.

When asked if he was frustrated with the lack of improvement, Salah replied: “Of course, yeah.” I’m not going to retire anytime soon, so I’m just playing, focusing on the season, and hoping to win the Premier League and the Champions League as well. I am disappointed, but we shall see.

Mohamed Salah stated he has yet to get a contract offer to continue at Liverpool.

‘I’m really professional. Everyone can observe my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my sport, and I intend to continue playing at the highest level for as long as possible.

Mail Sport understands that Liverpool has spoken with Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, about the contract, and top Anfield sources say the negotiations have been constructive.

Salah scored twice against Southampton to send Arne Slot's side eight points clear at the top

Salah, Liverpool’s biggest paid, hasn’t spoken with written media in the mixed zone in five years. At St Mary’s, he personally directed to certain journalists and wanted to talk with them, evidently wanting to express his sentiments.

When asked about his former interest in Saudi Arabia, the 32-year-old grinned.

He has 12 goals and 10 assists this season, including two strikes on Sunday that turned the game around and put Liverpool eight points ahead.

Fellow star men Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have contracts that will expire next summer, and neither has signed a new one.

Salah, who has 223 goals in 367 games since coming from Roma in 2017, will be eligible to negotiate pre-contract agreements with abroad clubs starting in January.

When asked about his uncertain future in September, Salah said: ‘Nobody in the club had spoken to me about contracts yet, so I was simply like, “OK, I play my last season and see at the end of the season.”

‘We know we can trust Salah,’ says Slot following comeback triumph.

I don’t want to talk about that. I’m currently focusing on the team,’ he remarked.

Speaking at the start of a key week in which the Reds face Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the Premier League, Salah said: ‘We were not at our best [against St Mary’s], but it’s a big win.

‘After the other international breaks, we struggled with Forest and Chelsea. I’m delighted we won despite being 2-1 down.

‘I’m simply playing my game, trying to unwind and have fun. The new manager has created chemistry among the entire team. Hopefully, we can keep winning and win something in the end.
