Mohamed Salah has been spotted in Mykonos as the Liverpool star enjoyed his final days off before returning to pre-season training.
Liverpool officially kicked off their pre-season under new head coach Arne Slot last Friday, with the first players reporting back to the club’s AXA Training Centre.
Salah is among the stars yet to report back, having been granted extra time off by the club after participating in Egypt’s World Cup qualifiers last month.
The Egyptian superstar is expected to report back soon, but he has made the most of his remaining days off.
A fan spotted Salah walking through the streets of Mykonos, where the 32-year-old has become a regular visitor in recent years.
Mohamed Salah was seen in Mykonos during the last days of his summer break from Liverpool.
Olympiakos defender Rodinei shared a photo with Salah from a beach club in Mykonos.
Salah has been enjoying his downtime after another demanding season for both club and country.
The Liverpool star was also photographed with Olympiakos defender Rodinei during his holiday, with Rodinei posting a picture of the two on social media.
“For this one you didn’t expect, me and Mo Salah random roll,” Rodinei captioned the photo.
The picture was taken at Scorpios Mykonos, a lively beach club on the island.
This marks the third year in a row that Salah has spent part of his summer break in Mykonos.
His visit to the island in 2022 coincided with Salah addressing his future with the Anfield club.
Salah signed a staggering £400,000-a-week deal while in Mykonos, resolving uncertainties about his future and extending his contract until 2025.
He returned to the island last year, where he was seen relaxing on the beach under the sun.
Salah’s latest trip was much needed after the Liverpool talisman’s taxing 2023-24 season.
The 32-year-old played 44 matches in all competitions for the Reds during the campaign.
He also participated in 10 international matches, including two appearances for Egypt at the African Cup of Nations.
The forward’s tournament ended painfully when he suffered a hamstring injury in their second match.
A significant decision regarding his future will be made when Salah returns to Liverpool to meet with Arne Slot, the new Reds manager.
With just one year left on his Liverpool contract, the 32-year-old has long been a target for Saudi Arabian teams looking to secure a big-money transfer.
