Regarding Frenkie de Jong’s possible departure, the Barcelona star is sure to have plenty of supporters.
The 26-year-old AFC Ajax midfield star is also expected to be the top target for Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been attempting to sign the Netherlands international since Erik ten Hag took over as manager in 2021, and they continue to do so.
Ten Hag signed a new contract, bringing Manchester United one step closer to signing two Dutch football players.
Indeed, the Red Devils are in talks to sign Matthijs de Ligt, a former Ajax colleague of De Jong, from Bayern Munich. Additionally, they are attempting to acquire Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.
The Premier League heavyweights may be persuaded to increase their hiring efforts after Frenkie de Jong, another Dutch star, was signed.
The midfielder’s future at Barcelona is currently uncertain due to the state of the economy, and Manchester United may make another attempt to sign the 26-year-old.
