Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is clearly enjoying his summer getaway, spotted relaxing on a luxury yacht off Ibiza. The 51-year-old manager is taking a well-deserved break from the pressures of the Premier League, opting for some leisure time with family and friends.
During his holiday, Klopp was seen swapping cigarettes for an e-cigarette, showcasing a more relaxed approach. He chilled out on the yacht, aptly named “Polly,” alongside his wife, Ulla Sandrock, and friends. The German manager took in the sun while wearing stylish sunglasses and even donned goggles before diving into the crystal-clear waters.
Having had a busy summer with transfer negotiations, Klopp certainly deserves this downtime after successfully sealing deals for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Fabinho from Monaco. However, he faced disappointment when negotiations for Lyon star Nabil Fekir fell through at the last moment.
Despite the ups and downs of the transfer window, Klopp appeared content and relaxed, far removed from the stresses of life at Anfield. As he enjoys his time in Ibiza, he’ll have to prepare for Liverpool’s first pre-season game against Chester on July 7, while the World Cup is still ongoing. The Reds also have matches lined up against Tranmere, Bury, and Blackburn in July, culminating in the International Champions Cup in the USA, where they’ll face Borussia Dortmund and Premier League champions Manchester City.
As Klopp takes a moment to recharge, he’ll soon be back on the sidelines, ready to lead Liverpool into the new season.
