Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool’s vice captain, was sighted in Monaco for the Formula One race this weekend. And the Scouser’s fashionable clothing sparked a lot of debate on social media.
Alexander-Arnold has joined Alpine Racing as a part-owner, alongside a slew of other big names, and was photographed at the iconic racing circuit. He was also spotted in Monaco before the race, and he appeared on the grid just before the start.
Alexander-Arnold was caught wearing cream dungarees while out and about in the principality, prompting the predictable remarks on X and Twitter. ‘Looks ready for some painting and decorating!’ said one person.
Another tagged a photo of Alexander-Arnold as ‘bedroom painted quickly’ (referring to his Corner Taken Quickly versus Barcelona). ‘Off to do some painting after the race,’ another remarked.
When questioned by Sky Sports News while in Monaco if he thought Liverpool would be able to minimize the disturbance at Anfield this summer despite Jürgen Klopp’s exit and the appointment of Arne Slot, the Reds’ number 66 responded: “I hope so.”
“I have trust in the club and who we’ve appointed,” he stated. “As a player, all you can ask for is to have faith in what the executives have brought in. I’m confident it will be a smooth transition.
