A source revealed to The Sun Online that the couple acquired the pooches to safeguard their family, as they are expecting their first baby together later this year.

The former England star shared a photo of himself with the German shepherd, which is being trained by a specialized dog protection firm.
Kate and Rio are looking forward to their first child together later this year, residing in South East London.
The couple already has a chihuahua.

According to an insider, Kate and Rio visited the well-regarded Chaperone K9, a prestigious organization known for training breeds to be calm family pets that will spring into action if they sense danger.
Rio frequently travels for work and is concerned about the safety of his three children and 31-year-old wife Kate in their South East London mansion.
A source stated: “They already have strict security measures, but it’s wise to be cautious. They also enjoy family walks in the countryside, so having a dog makes sense.”
Chaperone K9 confirmed the story by tagging Kate and Rio in an Instagram post showcasing the “stunning” dogs.
In the post, two black dogs are seen basking in the sunshine with their tongues out.
