Luka Modric celebrated winning the Ballon d’Or on Monday by receiving special Nike boots.
On Instagram, he posted a photo of his new footwear. He creates plays for Real Madrid.
A video of Modric preparing for his big night was also posted by his Croatian team.
The 33-year-old man remarked, “A beautiful year,” while flaunting his Nike boots. The award is unique. Many thanks to all of you at @nikefootball.
Receiving the award made the Ballon d’Or winner very happy, and he aspires to do even better with Real Madrid.
“It’s difficult to find the right words to express how I feel,” Modric stated. I’m happy that everyone enjoyed my trip. “What a fantastic evening to be among the players who took home this award!” I tried not to cry as I thought.
Marca claims that Modric told his opponents, “[Kylian] Mbappe and [Antoine] Griezmann have congratulated me, it’s a dream year.” What are you aware of? The first step toward my team’s goals is the World Club Cup.
“I think the last time I won The Best, I promised to change all of my awards for the World Cup, but I didn’t,” Modric said to the media. “For a small nation like Croatia, this World Cup victory is absolutely incredible.”
“However, I stated that I would sacrifice everything for the World Cup.” I’m happy I received at least this prize because things didn’t have to turn out that way.

The player, who formerly played for Tottenham, won the Champions League with Real Madrid last year. He also contributed to Croatia’s World Cup second-place finish.
The award was won by a player other than Ronaldo or Messi for the first time in almost a decade.
Chile will play Melilla in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
