The Red Devils’ players made the decision to have a leisurely breakfast at the Juniper Café in Hale Village, Cheshire, after a rather depressing 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace. They ran into their teammate, Anthony Elanga, who was at the café with two companions, out of the blue.
As one of his buddies joined in the laughs, Elanga snapped a picture of the two football players with another friend. Fernandes and De Gea wore sweaters and black coats to suit the cold conditions. A bright green hoodie with a chic white motif down the arms, however, was what Elanga was wearing.
De Gea made an incredible stop in the first half of the game at Selhurst Park that might be regarded as one of the best of the season. As a result, Fernandes quickly scored the first goal after Cristiano Eriksen set him up. But Michael Olise’s incredible free kick hit the post shortly before the end of the game, tying the score.
Elanga hasn’t got as many opportunities as his teammates this season. The 20-year-old most recently played in the Carabao Cup against Charlton. For Sunday’s game against Arsenal, he is anticipated to remain on the bench. Casemiro, United’s outstanding player, was given a yellow card at Selhurst Park and will not be allowed to play in the match.
After defeating Brighton in a thrilling penalty shootout at Wembley, the French national team will compete in the FA Cup final in June. Since Roberto De Zerbi started Mitoma in the starting lineup, he has had an incredible season at Brighton. In 31 appearances, he has tallied 10 goals and seven assists.
Mitoma struggled against Wan-Bissaka on Sunday night, despite several challenges against the best full-backs in the Premier League. The former Crystal Palace player made multiple important tackles on Mitoma during the match. “He’s as good as anyone” in one-on-one settings, Rio Ferdinand said, praising Wan-Bissaka’s performance.
Wan-Bissaka was injured and unwell at the start of the season, which made him unpopular with coach Ten Hag. The Londoner has been a consistent starter since Diogo Dalot, who took over as the right-back, lost his form during the World Cup. Dalot switched to the left-back position on Sunday.
Although Wan-Bissaka has the option to extend for an additional year, his current deal expires in the summer of 2024. The right-back wants to remain for an additional year. “My intention has always been to stay, but when I wasn’t on the team, I just wanted to play,” Wan-Bissaka told the Daily Telegraph. Everyone enjoys playing, and it brings me joy.
“I would have done anything to resume playing at that time.”
I’ve been content here since I first started working here. I have worked for that, and I will continue to do so.
