Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is expected to receive further approaches from Chelsea and Napoli.
.
Napoli coach Antonio Conte discussed a potential transfer with the Argentine and his representatives last week.
Quique de Lucas, a former Chelsea player, and Carlos Cambeiro, Garnacho’s agent, were at Stamford Bridge last night. Chelsea has also asked to be kept informed, as Mail Sport stated that they would prefer to recruit Kobbie Mainoo.
Chelsea’s list of wing options also includes Jamie Bynoe-Giittens of Borussia Dortmund and Karim Adeyemi.
Although United maintains that Garnacho is a vital team member and that they have no immediate plans to sell, their resolve may be tested if Chelsea or Napoli up the ante.
Mail Sport reported last week that Man United values Garnacho at £65 million.
Prospective suitors, however, are concerned about the winger’s professionalism, temperament, and whether the amount would be worthwhile.
Garnacho has struggled to regain his position since manager Ruben Amorim benched him for last month’s Manchester derby.
Juventus and Chelsea were still negotiating Renato Veiga’s loan yesterday.
