MANCHESTER UNITED star Luke Shaw was seen taking a stroll in SLIPPERS amid concerns about another injury setback.
Shaw, 29, hasn’t started a match for United in nearly a year due to ongoing muscle injuries and has made only three substitute appearances since manager Ruben Amorim took charge in November.
The left-back hasn’t played since December’s 4-0 win over Everton at Old Trafford but shared he experienced another setback with a devastating announcement just two days later.
There are worries that the England international’s injury struggles have worsened, despite his participation in training before Thursday’s Europa League win at FCSB.
However, SunSport understands the new issue is minor, and the defender is expected to return to training on Monday, alleviating initial concerns he faces another lengthy absence.
After the news, Shaw was spotted out in Wilmslow as Man Utd gears up for Friday’s FA Cup match against Leicester at Old Trafford.
The former Southampton player was seen wearing black Ugg slippers in public.
His all-black ensemble included sweatpants, a bulky puffer jacket, and a hoodie.
United manager Amorim could utilize Shaw as a left wing-back in his preferred 3-4-2-1 formation.
However, the full-back may face tough competition from January signing Patrick Dorgu.
Dorgu joined from Lecce during the winter transfer window following a £25 million deal.
It appears that the Denmark international and Shaw will be competing for a starting spot.
Ruben Amorim unusually SLAPS Man Utd players during training as fans joke, “I hope Luke Shaw stays healthy.”
This comes after another injury-plagued player, Tyrell Malacia, was loaned out to PSV Eindhoven.
Shaw has tallied four goals and 25 assists in 278 appearances across all competitions since joining from Southampton in 2014.
