Bruno Fernandes, a star for Manchester United, had a great time seeing his old Sporting Lisbon friends earlier today.
The Portuguese team is in town for their Champions League dead-rubber matchup with Man City. The 27-year-old left for Old Trafford in January 2020.
After losing badly at home in the first leg of their last-16 matchup with the Cityzens, they are already behind 5-0.

Furthermore, it appears doubtful that Fernandes will have been able to provide any helpful advice to assist Sporting in pulling off a stunning comeback after United was crushed 4-1 by Pep Guardiola’s team on Sunday.
Thankfully, that didn’t appear to matter much because everyone was grinning as the Portugal international was greeted warmly by his former teammates at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel.
After enjoying his catch-up, he was also delighted to pose with traveling fans outside the venue.
Sporting Lisbon posted multiple photos of him addressing players and staff, with the phrase, “Forever a Lion.”
“Our team’s hotel was visited by Fernandes today.”
Fernandes left Sporting in an attempt to assist United in reclaiming the top honors in the game, but since the 2017 Europa League, the club’s trophy cabinet has remained empty.
