🚨Man Utd are planning an £83m move for speedy forward Samu Aghehowa – who has scored 18 goals and added three assists in 26 games in the Portuguese Liga and Europa League😱

According to reports, Manchester United is planning to buy a different striker this summer in case they are unsuccessful in their attempts to get Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres, their top targets.

After Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkee’s well-publicized failures to score this season, the Red Devils are anticipated to make adding a quality No. 9 one of their primary priority in the summer transfer window.

Together, the two have only managed 12 goals in 69 Premier League games this season, and they suffered once more in Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Tottenham, as Manchester United missed several guilt-edged opportunities.

These offensive difficulties have only increased rumors that United may pay a lot of money to acquire a deadly shooter who will not pass up chances to score goals that ultimately cost them points.

Although Gyokeres and Osimhen have long been on the club’s radar due to the former’s obvious connections to Ruben Amorim, United has also been keeping an eye on Samu Aghehowa (formerly Omorodion).

After his deal to Chelsea fell through at the final minute, the Spain international joined Porto from Atletico Madrid in August 2024.

With 18 goals and three assists in 26 appearances across Liga Portugal and the Premier League, he has already been nothing short of spectacular during his time in Portugal.

After Aghehowa scored two goals against United in the Europa League back in October and occasionally outplayed Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez, United is undoubtedly well aware of him.

The Red Devils are reportedly considering making a move for the nimble frontman when the summer transfer window opens, according to GIVEMESPORT.

They claim that “sources have been informed that Manchester United representatives kept tabs on Omorodion’s performance when they were in the stands for his current employers’ 1-1 draw with fellow title-chasers Sporting.” They also add that “a summer swoop is being considered after having seen him seamlessly adjust to life in Portugal after being on Atletico Madrid’s books.”

Man United is paying a high Aghehowa charge.United, regrettably, now faces the possibility of having to pay much more than the £34.4 million. Last summer, Chelsea appeared to have a chance to sign the player.

Aghehowa’s achievements at Porto have caused his price to soar, and it is thought that his contract at the Estadio do Dragao includes an £83 million (€100 million or $105 million) release clause.

According to GMS, the 20-year-old also meets the requirements of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, who are looking for young, eager players with the potential to be elite.

Aghehowa signed a five-year contract with Porto last summer, and his current agreement expires in 2029.

Aghehowa’s potential makes him one of the most gifted young forwards in European football, even though his time in Spain was far less productive. In Portugal, he is beginning to realize this potential.
