Mason Greenwood, who is now on loan from Manchester United, can face harsh criticism after being seen getting a Burger King with his father.
His new coach in Getafe in Spain, José Bordalás, forbids his players from consuming junk food.
However, following their training in Madrid yesterday, Greenwood, 22, and his father Andrew dropped by Burger King for two dinners.
According to Bordalás, the players are weighed daily and penalized for excess weight.
Greenwood was loaned this summer following the dismissal of attempted rape accusations.
He has been the target of “die” chants from supporters of rival Spanish teams.
While on loan at Getafe, Greenwood has already scored one goal and assisted on another.
His final goal for Manchester United came in January 2022, just before he was arrested.
In Getafe’s 1-1 tie with Real Betis, Greenwood played 78 minutes. He entered and began the game.
He is content at Getafe in Madrid and intends to stay for a while, a source informed SunSport. “The players and fans have all given him a welcome he could only have dreamed of,” the person said.
He is said to still receive the most of his £75,000 weekly income from Manchester United.
