Man United has successor for Rashford who is eager to step up 1st squad

Marcus Rashford is now causing Manchester United concern. The England international was forced to leave Saturday’s 2-0 win over Everton due to what appeared to be a groin issue. Although Anthony Martial is now healthy and on the ball once more, the France international is prepared to fill in for his teammate in his anticipated absence.

On Saturday, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial scored goals for Manchester United to give them an important three points. Manchester United was simply too powerful for Everton.

Rashford, however, walked down the tunnel with an injury in the 81st minute, ruining the afternoon.

Not what United needs, in fаcт. More than any other player at the club, their No. 10 has excelled this season, scoring 28 goals in all competitions.

At Old Trafford, there are worries that Rashford will be sidelined for a number of weeks, which would be a devastating setback given their treble chances.

Yet, the Red Devils already have the ideal substitute on hand now that Martial is once again physically fit.

The international for France has a lengthy history of causing controversy. Others say he is incredibly inconsistent while others think he is world-class.

The 27-year-old has undoubtedly had a difficult season as injuries have caused him to miss more games than he has participated in.

Martial hasn’t failed United this year, though, when he’s been able to play.

The attacker has played 7999 minutes for the club since joining from Monaco in 2015 and has scored seven goals and provided two assists.

Martial therefore scores or assists once every 88 minutes.

Because of this, United can rely on their No. 9 to deliver if Rashford is forced to miss a significant amount of time.

It would be advantageous for the forthcoming summer transfer window if Martial led United to a triple.

The attackers Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen of Tottenham and Napoli are both on the Red Devils’ radar as they search for a new No. 9.

Martial’s season-ending performance, however, would throw a wrench in the plan and maybe force United to reconsider.

With previous managers like Louis van Gaal, José Mourinho, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the forward has fluctuated throughout the past eight years.

On the other hand, it is hoped that under Ten Hag, he would finally be able to show the consistency that many people think he is capable of.

The Dutchman said that following the win over Everton, things with Rashford “didn’t look good.”

The 53-year-old said, “It doesn’t look good [about Rashford’s injury], we have to wait.”

“Once more, the scheduling is to blame; playing three games in six days is impossible. Everyone wants to see powerful athletes on the field.

“He played against Fulham, he played against Betis, he’s playing for England so he’s fit, he’s ready to play, and the thinking is that of all the Premier League teams, we have the most insɑnҽ schedule,” said the player.

“That is wrong, but we must cope with it, because we have to cover three games in six days.”

The next game for United is against Sevilla on Thursday (8pm).

This season, the Red Devils have already defeated Real Betis, Real Sociedad, and Barcelona in the Europa League.
