The reason for Mohamed Salah’s visit to the Blackpool arcades has been revealed. The Liverpool forward is having an incredible season, with 30 goals and 22 assists recorded across all competitions.
This remarkable performance has played a crucial role in Arne Slot’s squad being 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League, along with reaching the Carabao Cup final and the Round of 16 in the Champions League.
Salah was spotted in Blackpool last month, with a TikTok video from user @jake79215 capturing him exiting the arcades. The user exclaimed, “Mo Salah at Blackpool!”
Many fans were surprised to see him there. One questioned, “Why is he in Blackpool?” while another noted, “Salah at the illuminations wasn’t on the bingo card.” Some jokingly suggested he was signing with the local team, with comments like, “Salah to Blackpool for free this summer” and “Signed for Blackpool as he couldn’t handle the ‘pier pressure’ at Liverpool.”
The reason for his visit became clearer when Salah posted a video on his Instagram story featuring him inside the arcades, promoting Vodafone Egypt, with Blackpool signs visible in the background.
In the video, Salah appeared alongside Nancy Ajram, a Lebanese singer and TV personality. They shared laughter as their daughters met, and they took part in a game on the high striker, also known as a strength tester, for the promotion.
Salah has been a brand ambassador for Vodafone Egypt since late 2017 and has led the company’s advertising campaigns since that time.
